What are you great at? (... and don't end sentences with prepositions) NOT GREAT, FIRST. Seems I always seem to ask myself this question. Whether through opportunity or misfortune, I've come to know the type of things I'm *not* great at... especially in my own chosen field. Many times it's less about whether one has the aptitude and more to do with the nurtured disposition. (did I just make that up?) Once we've figured out what we naturally don't do well, it's much easier to focus on what we enjoy doing. In this, we close in on what we love. The little things are key on this level, and should be left open to interpretation and future opportunity. WHAT I HEAR. "I wanna be a rockstar." I hear this ALL THE TIME. Me, personally... I do *not* want this for my life. Why? Because, the reality of growing that dream involves so many *little* things that hold *little* interest for me. Mostly... vanity, motel rooms, cramped vans and buses, media scrutiny, etc. To live a public life is often more stressful than having no job at all. I personally hope for something in the middle. CREATIVE LIFE. peace- seanrox |
