Obama's Veep "First Text"-Appeal Reveal this Week?

So Obama may text you as you're getting ready for work this week. If he becomes 44th President, would his message on our cellphones be considered The Very First First Text?

I heard on NPR this morning that those that offer Obama their cellphone number might just receive a text announcing his Veep choice. Technological advantage? Yes. Cool factor: you'll find out at the same moment as Big Media. yay.

Who has the Veep Text-Appeal?

Sen. Biden.
He's always been my favorite Donkeycrat bulldog-blow-hard. When he mellow-dramatically lays into corrupt partisans on C-SPAN, the veins in his forehead bulge. That's pretty cool, but how many people watch as much C-SPAN as I have to fully appreciate this grinning character?

Billary. Hey -- never count the dynamic-duo out for daylight robbery. And, as I said before, if not her, no other Femacrat will suffice.

Bayh and that other "B" guy that nobody knows.
Please don't bore us.

Gen. Colin Powell?
Nope. Just a silent nod.

Gen. Wesley Clark?
Too wiley. He was awkwardly critical on McCain's war record.

Gov. Richardson?
Ladder jumpers are dangerous bedfellows (because they need rails). He and his post-candidate beard would hold out for a junior cabinet staff post. Y'know -- he actually speaks Spanish.

Sen. McCain?
He's busy. Not a bad ticket, though. ;)

I'd hope'd he'd get some military experience on the ticket, but this probably won't happen. Now, I'm not on Obama's speed-dial, but I'm sure I'll hear the Veep choice anyway.

And Now We Know Obama & McCain (with bit o' help from Rev. Rick Warren)

First, Rev. Rick Warren is probably one of the most awesome people I've seen. Secondly, he has a certain even-handedness which is admirable.

After a one-on-one interview with each Presidential candidate at Saddleback, America -- and the world, received an opportunity to see all that is good in both candidates. I do not believe that any further campaigning would help you know them any better.

It's been a long time, but we finally have two decent, independent-thinking people running for President.

From this point forward, it will be partisan semantics and platform-building.

Primary Presidential Evaluation 2008 (pre-Florida)

Joining and participating in politics... important if you are a ambitious "joiner". Observers, however, take the time to watch others participate with a keen, wincing sports-eye.

Play-by-play CNN, DrudgeReport, FoxNews, MSNBC, NPR, NY Times and TIME Magazine are feeding me versions of how the campaign is evolving.

"CHANGE".
A motto shared among all candidates. Yes, it's the same as 1968, 1980, 1992, 2000 and 2006. Front-runners on both sides offer the most diverse and publicized candidates (probably) EVER!
So, what would "change" feel like with each candidate AS president?
This is my take:

BARRACK OBAMA.
Philosophically, he's a giant. As an orator, he would inspire and motivate people in communities to take action in their own lives. Under an Obama administration, I'd expect government bottom-feeders might feel disenfranchised. He may be "rubberband-snap" America desires to get back to "sanity".

But Possible? Can he win with South Carolina, New York, California, Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts, Vermont, Georgia, Hawaii? Is this enough? In any fashion, one state at a time, he'll need to keep his head up above the stink of the Billary nonsense.

DR. RON PAUL.
Genius American conservative. The youth support the essence of "the best" of anything. The youth also enjoy deconstruction and re-construction. Unfortunately, the young often lose some pieces along the way. We all should be more like Ron Paul... and actually believe in something.

With more media attention, Ron Paul libertarianism could become a part of the American political landscape. Some ideas take time to make sense to many.


HILLARY CLINTON.
Like a fire alarm: "Break Only In Case of Romney". From the duo that pushed for NAFTA, no trust. But -- she'll work hard to do something/anything domestically. Imagine American tax dollars spent in our own country for once!

JOHN MCCAIN.
Bush/Cheney/Rove politically brow-beat our favorite POW in South Carolina in 2000. I planned on voting for him, never got the opportunity. Now he's much older and browner from standing so close to W's stain. He would lead the military fantastically. He'd probably get Powell or Schwartzcoff(sp?) on his ticket or cabinet and that would be hard *not* to vote for.

A military state doesn't really sound awesome for free people, but maybe he could clean up the mess the Bush's Wars have become. Maybe bring some stability to both the forgotten Afghanistan and economically distraught Iraq.

MITT ROMNEY.
Cavett said it best in his NYTimes blog: "Lackwitt". Howdy-Doody, even. Anyone that values the Constitution and freedom will be disenfranchised. Romney appears to value his own morals over all others. At least W ignored us all.


So, I don't register for political parties, yet follow the campaigns. In November I'll vote for someone. For once, I'd like to win -- it's been a long while.
